Beaune Premier Cru Clos des Marconnets
Chardonnay
Pinot Noir
Total surface area : 3.80 ha
Orientation : East
Origin of the name: The name of this vineyard refers to the German tribe "Marcomans", who settled on this plot.
The chardonnays are situated at the top of the hill where it is windy, and grow in a marl and sandy soil in low depth providing floral notes to white Beaune Bastion. Pinot Noirs are situated on the mid-slope of the hill, highly exposed to sun, on a draining soil. Soil erosion at the top of the plot, showing rock, stonier and more alluvial at the bottom. Quick ripeness.
